Description:

Sun Solaris could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by a format string vulnerability in snoop(1M) when the -o option is not enabled. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability using specially-crafted SMB packets to execute arbitrary code with privileges of the user.

Note: When snoop(1M) is invoked by root, an attacker could execute arbitrary code with nobody privileges.
