Avaya SIP Enablement Services (SES) servers security bypass
| avaya-ses-servers-security-bypass (44585) |
Description:
Avaya SIP Enablement Services (SES) could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions. The SES servers improperly handle remote management login failures which allows an attacker to gain access to Core router updates. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to bypass the authentication process and start a router update, which would temporarily cause the server to become unusable.

- Avaya, S8300C CM 5.0
Remedy:
Refer to ASA-2008-347 for patch, upgrade or suggested workaround information. See References.
