xine-lib real_parse_mdpr() function code execution
| xinelib-realparsemdpr-code-execution (44650) |
Description:
xine-lib could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by an integer overflow in the real_parse_mdpr() function. By persuading a victim to open an .RM file containing a specially-crafted stream_name_size field, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges or cause the application to crash.
