Ruby regex.c denial of service
| ruby-regex-dos (44688) |
Description:
Ruby is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by the failure to handle allocated memory by the regular expression engine (regex.c) source file. By sending multiple overly long requests to a Ruby socket, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the application to enter into an infinite loop and consume all available memory resources resulting in a denial of service.
