Description:

The "at" program is vulnerable to a buffer overflow. An attacker can overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary commands on the system as root.

Remedy:

Administrators should disable the "at" command (use crontab if you still need this functionality) until you can obtain a patch from your vendor. Detailed patch information can be found in CERT Advisory CA-97.18. See References.
