Remedy:
For FreeBSD 2.1:
Upgrade to the latest version of FreeBSD (2.1-stable dated 1997-01-18 or later), as listed in FreeBSD Security Advisory FreeBSD-SA-96:21. See References.

Apply the PHNE_10042 patch, as listed in Hewlett-Packard Security Bulletin HPSBUX9704-061. See References.
