Microsoft Windows Internet Printing Protocol code execution

win-ipp-service-code-execution (45545) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

Microsoft Windows servers, when running IIS, could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by an integer overflow in the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) implementation. By sending a specially-crafted HTTP POST request to a vulnerable Web server that causes the Web server to connect to a malicious server impersonating an IPP printer, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges.
