Description:
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 957699 is not installed on the system, which could allow a remote attacker to exploit the following vulnerability:
Microsoft Office is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of Office documents that user the cdo:// protocol and the Content-Disposition: Attachment header. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using the cdo:// protocol to inject malicious script into an Office document hosted on a trusted Web site, which would be executed in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, once the page is viewed. An attacker could use this vulnerability to obtain sensitive information and possibly launch further attacks against the victim.
