Mozilla Firefox and SeaMonkey Internet shortcut information disclosure
| firefox-internet-shortcut-info-disclosure (45740) |
Description:
Mozilla Firefox and SeaMonkey could allow a remote attacker to bypass cross-domain security restrictions, caused by improper handling of Internet shortcut files. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted Web page that uses a shortcut file from the local drive, a remote attacker could bypass same-origin policy restrictions to gain unauthorized access to other domains and obtain sensitive information from the vulnerable system.
