Cisco IOS and CatOS VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) denial of service
| cisco-ios-catos-vtp-dos (46346) |
Description:
Multiple Cisco devices running IOS and CatOS are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an error when VTP server or client operating mode is enabled. By sending a specially-crafted VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) packet, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the device to hang.
