Perl File::Path rmtree function symlink
| filepath-rmtree-symlink (47044) |
Description:
The Perl File::Path module could allow a local attacker to launch a symlink attack, caused by a race condition in the rmtree function. Temporary files are created insecurely. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability by creating a symbolic link from a temporary file to various files on the system, which could allow the attacker to delete arbitrary files from the system.
