Description:

Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE) could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by an error when parsing GIF image files. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web site containing a malicious GIF file, a remote attacker could corrupt memory during a splash screen display and execute arbitrary code on the system with the privileges of the victim.
