ComponentOne SizerOne Tab ActiveX control buffer overflow

The ComponentOne SizerOne Tab ActiveX control (c1sizer.ocx) is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow when copying tab options. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web page that adds multiple tabs with overly long captions using the AddTab() method, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with the privileges of the victim or cause the victim's browser to crash.
Upgrade to the latest version of the Tab ActiveX control (8.0.20081.142 or later), available from the ComponentOne Web site. See References.
