cURL and libcurl CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION security bypass
| curl-followlocation-security-bypass (49030) |
Description:
cURL and libcurl could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions, caused by an error in the redirect implementation when CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION is enabled. By persuading a victim to transfer files from a malicious HTTP server that redirects to a FILE:// or SCP:// URL, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to bypass security restrictions and read or overwrite arbitrary files, trigger arbitrary requests, or execute arbitrary commands.
