IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Express adsmdll.dll buffer overflow
| tivoli-tsm-adsmdll-bo (49188) |
Description:
IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Express server is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking within adsmdll.dll, which is called by the dsmsvc.exe daemon. By sending a malicious client request to a vulnerable server, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with SYSTEM privileges or cause the server to crash.
