Trend Micro Internet Security Pro tmactmon.sys privilege escalation
| trend-tmactmon-privilege-escalation (49513) |
Description:
Trend Micro Internet Security Pro could allow a local attacker to gain elevated privileges on the system, caused by the improper processing of user space parameters by the IOCTL handler of the tmactmon.sys driver. By sending a specially-crafted IRP in a METHOD_NEITHER IOCTL request to \\Device\\tmactmon, a local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system with kernel level privileges.
