Wireshark CPHAP denial of service
| wireshark-cphap-dos (49815) |
Description:
Wireshark (formerly known as Ethereal) is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by the improper handling of Check Point High-Availability Protocol (CPHAP) requests. By sending a specially-crafted CPHAP request with a modified HOME environment variable, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the CPHAP dissector to crash.
