IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) dsmagent.exe buffer overflow

ibm-tsm-dsmagent-bo (50327) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Agent Client (dsmagent.exe) in a generic function or when copying the NodeName. By sending a specially-crafted request packet containing an overly long string, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
