Ghostscript icc.c buffer overflow
| ghostscript-icc-bo (50381) |
Description:
Ghostscript is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by multiple integer overflows in icc.c within the International Color Consortium Format Library (icclib). By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted device file for a translation request that operates on a crafted image file and targets a certain "native color space," related to an ICC profile in a PostScript or PDF file with embedded images, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
Note: This vulnerability also affects Argyll Color Management System (CMS).
