libsndfile AIFF or VOC buffer overflow
| libsndfile-aiff-voc-bo (50541) |
Description:
libsndfile is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the aiff_read_header() function. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted AIFF file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
