Microsoft PowerPoint Freelance Windows buffer overflow
| ms-powerpoint-freelance-bo (51034) |
Description:
Microsoft PowerPoint is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by an array-indexing error in the Microsoft PowerPoint Freelance Windows 2.1 Translator (FL21WIN.DLL) when parsing layout information. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted Freelance file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
