Hamster Audio Player .m3u and .hpl files buffer overflow
| hamster-m3u-hpl-bo (51732) |
Description:
Hamster Audio Player is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking when processing .m3u files. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted .m3u or .hpl playlist file containing an overly long entry, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
