Description:

Microsoft Active Template Library (ATL) could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by an error in the ATL header which allows an attacker could invoke the VariantClear() function on an improperly initialized variant. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web site that passes a corrupt stream to a component or control using the IE browser, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system with the privileges of the victim.
