Multiple IBM Informix products .nfx buffer overflow
| informix-nfx-bo (53644) |
Description:
Multiple IBM Informix products are vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking when processing .nfx files. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted .nfx file containing an overly long HostList entry, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
