PEAR Net_Ping ping() command execution
| netping-ping-command-execution (54390) |
Description:
PEAR Net_Ping could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by the improper validation of the host parameter by the ping() function prior to being used in an exec() call. By sending a request using the host parameter containing shell metacharacters, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to inject and execute arbitrary shell commands on the system.
