Asterisk RTP comfort noise denial of service

asterisk-rtp-comfortnoise-dos (54471) The risk level is classified as MediumMedium Risk

Description:

Asterisk is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by the improper handling of the Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) payload format for transporting comfort noise (CN). By sending an RTP comfort noise payload containing an overly long data length, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the application to crash.
