RealNetworks RealPlayer GIF buffer overflow
| realplayer-gif-bo (55795) |
Description:
RealNetworks RealPlayer is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking when processing GIF images. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted GIF image file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
