CUPS httpGets function denial of service

Description:
Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) is vulnerable to a denial of service attack caused by a buffer overflow in the httpGets function. By sending a line longer than the input buffer size in CUPS, an attacker can overflow a buffer and cause the computer to enter an infinite loop.
Platforms Affected:
- Easy Software Products, CUPS 1.1.5 and prior
- MandrakeSoft, Mandrake Linux 7.2
Remedy:
For Mandrake Linux 7.2:
Upgrade to the latest version of CUPS (1.1.6-10 or later), as listed in MandrakeSoft Security Advisory MDKSA-2001:023 : cups. See References.
