My GetRight "skin" allows remote attacker to overwrite existing files
| mygetright-skin-overwrite-file (6155) |
Description:
My GetRight could allow a malicious Web site operator to upload or overwrite existing files on a visiting user's computer, due to a vulnerability in the 'skins' option. Web site operators use the 'skins' option to customize downloads from their Web site. A malicious Web site operator can create a malformed 'skin' that uses long strings of random data for certain fields to cause the My GetRight GUI (graphical user interface) to terminate while the download continues, overwriting files on the visiting user's computer.
