Terminal Server Client hostname buffer overflow
| terminal-server-hostname-bo (65100) |
Description:
Terminal Server Client (tsclient) is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the tsc_launch_remote() function when processing the hostname parameter. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted RDP file containing an overly long string, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
