DCForum CGI could allow an attacker to gain administrative access
| dcforum-cgi-admin-access (6538) |
Description:
DCForum could allow an attacker to gain administrative access to the server. If an attacker registers for a new account using a specially-crafted "last name" field containing URL encoded "newline" and "pipe" characters, the attacker could modify the password file "auth_user_file.txt" to create a new account that contains administrative privileges. This allows the attacker to gain administrative access to the server.
