FreeStyle Chat server "dot dot" directory traversal

Description:
FreeStyle Chat could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the Web server. A remote attacker can send a URL request containing modified "dot dot" sequences that use three dots instead of two (/.../) to traverse directories and obtain any known file outside of the root directory.
Platforms Affected:
- Faust Informatics, Freestyle Chat 4.1 SR2 and prior
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of FreeStyle Chat (4.1 SR3 or later), available from the Faust Informatics Web site. See References.
