IBM AIX "libi18n" library LANG environment variable buffer overflow

Description:
IBM AIX is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the 'libi18n' library file. By setting the LANG environment variable to a specially formatted string, a local attacker can overflow a buffer when the 'libi18n' library is called. An attacker can use this vulnerability to launch a denial of service attack or gain root privileges on the affected system.

Remedy:
For IBM AIX 4.3.x:
