IBM AIX SNMP server denial of service using an RST flag

Description:
IBM AIX is vulnerable to a denial of service attack in the SNMP server. A remote attacker can send an RST flag to the snmpd daemon during a TCP connection to cause the service to crash.
Consequences:
Denial of Service
Remedy:
For IBM AIX 4.3: Apply APAR IY17630 patch, available from the IBM Technical Support Web site. See References.
