Qpopper with PAM authentication brute force

Description:
A vulnerability in the authentication mechanism in Qpopper used with PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules for Linux) on Red Hat Linux could allow a remote attacker to determine valid usernames on the system. Qpopper displays different error messages for valid and invalid usernames. If a remote attacker determines a valid username, the attacker could use brute force methods to determine the password and gain unauthorized access to the system.
