Description:

Bugzilla is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by an input validation error in the createaccount.cgi script. A remote attacker could embed malicious script within a URL link to the createaccount.cgi script, which would be executed in the victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting site, once the link is clicked.

Upgrade to the latest version of Bugzilla (2.14 or later), as listed in Bugzilla Security Advisory dated August 30th, 2001. See References.

Upgrade to the latest version of Bugzilla (2.14-1 or later), as listed in Red Hat, Inc. RHSA-2001:107-07. See References.
