Mozilla and Netscape Web browsers could allow an attacker to steal cookie-based authentication information

Description:
Mozilla could allow a remote attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials. A remote attacker could create a specially-crafted URL link containing a null byte character string (%00) that would cause the victim's cookie information to be sent to a specified hostname once the link is clicked. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by using HTML or Web-based email or by creating a malicious Web page.
Safari versions 1.0 v85 through 1.1 v100.1 are also affected by this vulnerability.

For Mozilla 0.9.6 and earlier:
Upgrade to the latest version of Mozilla (0.9.7 or later), available from the Mozilla.org Web site. See References.

Upgrade to the latest version of Netscape (6.2.1 or later), available from the Netscape Web site. See References.
For Safari versions 1.0 v85 through 1.1 v100.1:
Upgrade to the latest version of Safari (1.1.1 (v100.1) or later), available from the Apple Computer, Inc. Web site. See References.
For HP-UX 11.00, 11.11, 11.22, 11.23:
