Description:
A Microsoft instant messaging client is present on this computer:
(1) Windows Messenger (msmsgs.exe) and/or
(2) MSN Messenger (msnmsgr.exe)
Windows Messenger is installed by default with most Microfost Windows operating systems. MSN (Microsoft Network) Messenger is a modified version of Windows Messenger that allows for additional functionality such as sending messages, sharing and transfering files, talking over the Internet, checking stock prices and headlines, and playing games.

Remedy:
Your institution's security policy may permit the use of instant messaging systems on your network. If your system is permitted to use instant messaging clients, verify that the installation of MSN Messenger and/or Windows Messenger has been configured according to your corporate security policy. Uninstall MSN Messenger and/or Windows Messenger if instant messaging services are not permitted by your corporate security policy or if they are not needed on this system.
