Description:
The Xtell package could allow a local attacker to launch a symlink attack. A local attacker can create a symbolic link to the '.xtell-log' file to overwrite arbitrary files on the system.

For Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 (potato):
Upgrade to the latest version of xtell (1.91.1 or later), as listed in DSA 121-1. See References.
For other distributions:
Contact your vendor for upgrade or patch information.
