IBM Tivoli Federated Identity Manager Business Gateway security bypass

ibm-tivoli-cve20135429-sec-bypass (87561) The risk level is classified as LowLow Risk

Description:

The Tivoli Federated Identity Manager Business Gateway 6.2.2 Risk Based Access feature can be configured to require that a user provide a One Time Password (OTP) token before being able to perform a sensitive transaction. As the name implies, these tokens should only be valid for a single use. If a malicious user or system were to obtain such a token and attempt to use it to authenticate after it had already been used, such replay should be denied by TFIMBG. A vulnerability has been discovered that allows OTP tokens to be reused under special conditions.

The attack does not require local network access, but it does require authentication and highly specialized knowledge and techniques. An exploit would not impact the confidentiality of information or the availability of the system, but the integrity of data could be compromised.
