Microsoft Internet Explorer dialog window cross-site scripting

ie-dialog-window-css (8868) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

Microsoft Internet Explorer is vulnerable to cross-site scripting using the dialogArguments property. A remote attacker could embed malicious script within a link to a redirected URL as the dialog source passed to the showModalDialog or showModelessDialog functions to bypass the check that ensures that a page source and a dialog source come from the same location. An attacker could use this vulnerability to execute script within a victim's local security zone, which could allow the attacker to steal cookies from the victim's computer, hijack Hotmail or MSN Messenger accounts, or execute arbitrary commands on the victim's computer.
