Description:
mnews is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the news client, caused by improper bounds checking on server responses. By sending an overly long 200 response to a vulnerable client, a remote attacker in control of a malicious NNTP server could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.
