MIME-tools does not support RFC 2231 encoding

Description:
MIME-tools incorrectly handles MIME encoded attachments that are encoded using the method described in RFC 2231. If MIME-tools is used to implement server-based mail scanning, this vulnerability could allow malicious messages to bypass filtering.

Remedy:
Apply the unofficial patch for this vulnerability, as listed in the BugTraq Mailing List posting dated Jun 3 2002 8:19PM. See References.
