csNews database file and user information disclosure

cgiscript-csnews-file-disclosure (9332) The risk level is classified as MediumMedium Risk


csNews fails to properly handle double URL encoded characters. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially-crafted URL request for a database file containing double URL encoded characters to bypass file restrictions and view the requested file. This would allow the attacker to obtain sensitive information including usernames and passwords.
