Description:
The xfsmd daemon in SGI IRIX could allow a remote attacker to bypass the AUTH_UNIX authentication scheme and execute RPC functions to gain root privileges on the system.

Remedy:
The xfsmserv product is no longer supported. Disable or uninstall the xfsmd daemon, as listed in SGI Security Advisory 20020605-01-I. See References.
