Microsoft Commerce Server new variant of AuthFilter ISAPI filter buffer overflow

Description:
Microsoft Commerce Server is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking of authentication requests in the AuthFilter ISAPI (Internet Services Application Programming Interface) filter. By sending a specially-crafted authentication request to the server, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system to gain complete control over the affected server.
Note: This is a new variant of the "ISAPI Filter" vulnerability previously discussed in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS02-010. See References.
