Description:

SOCKS is vulnerable to a buffer overflow caused by improper bounds checking of usernames. By sending an overly long username, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the system to crash.

Note: Virtual Services Gateway and Application Security Gateway by Permeo are not affected by this vulnerability.
