Description:

The ZyXEL Prestige 642R DSL router (and possibly other ZyXEL routers) are vulnerable to a denial of service attack using the "jolt" denial of service tool. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a single "jolt" packet to a vulnerable router to cause the router to stop responding for a short period of time.

Platforms Affected:

  • ZyXEL, Prestige 342R
  • ZyXEL, ZyNOS 2.5(FA.1) and prior
