Description:

Microsoft Content Management Server 2001 is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the user authentication function. By sending an authentication request containing specially-crafted authentication credentials to a vulnerable server, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and cause the authentication service to fail or execute code to gain complete control over the server.
