Description:

HP9000 servers running HP-UX could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code, caused by a buffer overflow in the lp subsystem. A remote or local attacker could overflow a buffer and cause the lp subsystem to crash or possibly execute arbitrary code on the system.

Remedy:

Apply the appropriate patch for your system, as listed in Hewlett-Packard Company Security Bulletin HPSBUX0208-213. See References.
